Process

Workflow and milestones

Follow the step-by-step structure of the hackathon, from preparation to final grading.

Logistics

The hackathon will be broken down into 4 weekly milestones. We'll start out with a kick off call for all the participants. Each week there will be a 1h meeting for each of the 3 knowledge area.

Ownership selection

The first week focuses on selecting areas of ownership to maximize success and minimize duplicated efforts. Proposed ontologies for each knowledge area will be reviewed, with participants providing input and suggestions. Hackers can create personal spaces to experiment with GRC-20 knowledge for simple types.

By the end of the week, ownership requests will be submitted, reviewed, and assigned, enabling participants to begin organizing knowledge effectively.

Weekly submission

Each week participants will submit a batch of knowledge for review. Participants may receive feedback to make sure they're on the right track. During the weekly calls, there will be a chance to demo created knowledge with the group so that hackers can learn from each other.

Final submission + grading

At the end of the hackathon, there will be a final submission for the created knowledge and tooling. Hackers will be judged on the usefulness of the knowledge, accuracy, completeness, and creativity for things like imagery, and whether or not their submissions are open-sourced.

Qualifying participants who meet KYC and the minimum standard of quality will win a share of the 150,000 GRT (equivalent to $30K at GRT = $0.20), which will be split based on usefulness, accuracy, and effort among all participants who meet the minimum standard of quality.
