What You Need to Know

A chain can be integrated with Subgraph Studio for $0 if it meets some simple criteria:

1. L1s and Other Chains: Must be in the top 100 for total value locked (TVL), users, or protocols on DefiLlama.
2. L2s and L3s (rollups and appchains): Must have 10m or more in TVL if listed on L2beats, a trusted source supported by the Ethereum Foundation.
3. Emerging or pre-testnet/pre-mainnet chains: If a chain is still in development but shows strong potential through developer interest, ecosystem alignment, or anticipated dapp growth, you can still apply.

Ongoing Reviews

To ensure the best possible experience for the web3 developer community, Edge & Node will conduct a comprehensive review of supported chains every six months. This recurring assessment focuses on performance, adoption, and overall success, and may lead to updates in which chains are supported.

To ensure seamless integration, chains must either provide a dedicated RPC with SLA guarantees or contribute $50k/year for RPC running and maintenance.

Step-by-Step Guide to Integrate Your Chain

Here’s how you can bring these benefits to your ecosystem:

1) Apply

Submit your chain’s details and specifications through the application form.

2) Research

Core developer team Edge & Node, conducts initial research to explore the technical feasibility and alignment of your chain, ensuring a seamless integration process.

Additional terms apply for selected chains.

3) Technical Coordination

Work with Edge & Node’s integration team to provide the necessary testnet and mainnet information. This step ensures your chain is fully integrated, tested and ready for developers.

4) Listing & Chain Promotion

Once integration is complete, your chain will be available in The Graph CLI and Subgraph Studio.

Studio integrations are designed specifically for Subgraph Studio. Please note that indexing rewards on the decentralized network are not included. Once integrations are complete, enabling rewards and additional network support will be discussed with each chain.
